Dear Colleagues,
Bone tissue engineering is one of the most important scientific fields addressing the urgent needs of cranial & oral maxillofacial, orthopaedic, dental, trauma, osteoporosis and bone cancer. With the ageing population world-wide musculoskeletal diseases are on the rise, bone-tec 2013 aims to continue to bring a unique conference where both scientists and clinicians can present their latest breakthroughs in translational clinical science, biomaterials, molecular cell biology, scaffolds engineering, bioreactor technology, growth factors and stem cells.
Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is honored to host bone-tec 2013. NTU, from the recent Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, made a significant quantum leap to be ranked 47th in the world. This makes NTU the fastest-rising university in the global top 50 of this year’s QS Rankings. Wonderfully, NTU was named one of the World's Most Beautiful Universities by American Express (http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/worlds-most-beautiful-universities/5).
I am delighted to welcome all delegates to Singapore, a garden city (http://www.gardensbythebay.com.sg/en/home.html) with many attractive attractions like the Sky Park, Night Safari, Bird Park and many more
(http://www-singapore.com/attractions/).
With warmest regards,
