In October 2010, for the third time already, the International Bone-Tissue-Engineering Congress is welcoming the international, scientific community to Hannover. On behalf of the state government of Niedersachsen I would like to extend a warm welcome to the participants.
Again, this year the main focus is on the latest developments in modern cartilage and bone regeneration. Scientists will address the translation of the scientific findings from research laboratories to clinics. Worldwide networks will be established and consolidated.
Niedersachsen is a centre of outstanding technology. It is a location to settle, research and invest. Successful companies, innovative minds and excellent research centres ensure Niedersachsen’s leading position in science and business. In Niedersachsen, the interaction of interdisciplinary technologies - from basic research to applications and treatment of patients - attracts great interest.
As patron of the International Bone Tissue Engineering Congress 2010, I am particularly pleased because with this congress Niedersachsen will, yet again, stimulate the international scientific community. I am happy to announce that the bone-tec 2010 congress will continue to take place in Hannover in conjunction with BIOTECHNICA, the leading European biotechnology fair.
I wish all congress delegates exciting discussions and a pleasant stay in Hannover.
